I always find this time of year arrives far too quickly. Even though the shops stock their Christmas goodies well in advance and give you ample notice, I still find myself running about last minute trying to organise Christmas gifts. As I sit writing this on 23rd December, I still haven’t decided what we are eating on Christmas Day! I’m sure it will work out well in the end (*fingers crossed*)
You won’t find any recipes in this post but just a short note to wish all my readers a very Merry Christmas and warm wishes for a Happy and Healthy New Year. Thank you for taking the time to read my posts, make comments and converse with me over the last few months. It’s been such a pleasure .
We’ll be spending Christmas in Hong Kong and I thought I would leave you with some photos of how the Christmas scene currently looks.
Although we don’t have snow, the Shopping Malls are tastefully decorated in Christmas and Winter themes.
Last Sunday we spent the afternoon on the beach and the temperature soared to a whopping 24°C. These photos set the scene today, a still rather pleasant 15°C and a deserted beach!
And the Christmas flowers are out in full bloom!
What are your plans for Christmas cooking on the big day? I’m sure they are more defined than mine
I’ve seen countless, delicious, mouthwatering recipes for Christmas from the blogosphere so I am sure you are all in for a treat!
I’ll return to blogging in the New Year, until then, have a wonderful time over the Festive Season.

Merry Christmas Jacqueline and thanks for your friendship throughout 2012, it was wonderful to finally meet you at FBC! Karen
Thank you Karen – that means a lot. It was great to meet you too x
Have a wonderful Christmas Jacqueline! I’m just baking a ham right now and have sprout and parsnip soup cooking with the stock (bit of an experiment). Christmas day we’ll be having a whole Turkey for the first time so fingers crossed I’ll cook it properly. I’m sure there’ll be something I’ve forgotten but planning is always a loose affair where I’m concerned:-) Love Camilla xxx
Sprout and Parsnip Soup sounds nice – are you adding a wee bit of the baked ham to it too?
I’m sure your Turkey will turn out really well. Happy Christmas to you and your family Camilla xx
I had some left over bacon so fried that for a garnish – we’re on the same wavelength though! Have added cream now and it’s delicious:-)
Ho-ho – WINNING Camilla:-)
